TGIF!!

Catching the later bus means seeing people I haven’t seen in ages.  And a couple of newbies, with a muscle man thrown in the mix.

Thank goodness we all come in different sizes.  I just can’t imagine my day if I was surrounded by five foot nothing short arses like me.

I once wrote a story about feet and shoes but today, sitting here on the bus, it’s the heads that have caught my eye.

A straight-haired pony-tailed girl got off, her hair swinging from side to side as she hoisted her backpack onto her shoulders and walked with purpose down the street.

There’s short back and sides, scruffy bearded blokes, one fellow looks like he just got out of bed with some cockatoo spikes at his crown, no they aren’t yellow.

There’s the smoothed-backed shiny almost-black haired women, with sparkly clasps holding each strand in place.  A ginger-bearded fellow wearing a mustard yellow bucket hat, his beard is curly, wonder what his hair looks like underneath?  I know for sure he’ll have helmet hair when he takes the hat off.

Sitting within arms-reach is a golden mane.  It’s like silken threads falling down her shoulders.  Each time she turns her head the strands glimmer.  I think it’s ‘real’, not colour fabricated by a stylist at some outrageously expensive salon.

One of my usual bus companions has a soft wavy bob.  Not that long ago, she had her hair dyed, I think even she was shocked by the outcome.  Thankfully the vermillion red has turned to an auburn hue.

And of course there is me.  Head topped with silver grey, not curly yet not quite straight, shoulder length but today tied up in attempt to contain the frizz.  I really need to get to the hairdresser, my self-imposed fringe trims just aren’t cutting it.  No pun intended but I like it.

Hope you have a good hair day.
